Alan Silvestri's score for Forrest Gump is finally available on vinyl for the first time, pressed on 180gm audiophile vinyl with insert. This is the soundtrack to one of cinema's most beloved films: the 1994 Best Picture winner that earned Tom Hanks the Academy Award for Best Actor and collected six Oscars total. Silvestri's score was nominated for Best Original Score at the 67th Academy Awards, and the film itself was preserved by the Library of Congress in 2011 as "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant."
For collectors, an encapsulated pressing of this title carries particular meaning. With Forrest Gump on vinyl arriving for the first time, there is no back catalog to fall back on. This pressing is the only one that will ever exist in an unhandled, undocumented state, and once those copies circulate, they are gone from the source forever.
What Alliance Authentic Preservation Means: Every copy listed was moved directly from the pressing source into preservation: uncirculated, unhandled, and documented before it ever reached the open market. Each preserved copy includes an embedded NFC chip. Tap it with any smartphone to access your Certified Copy: verified authenticity, documented condition, and a full provenance chain from pressing source to you.
Limited to 1 individually numbered copy.
