Toshiyuki Honda's legendary score to Rintaro's 2001 animated masterpiece Metropolis arrives on vinyl for the first time. The film's New Orleans-style jazz soundtrack finds its most natural home in the analog format, making this a landmark release for fans of anime, jazz, and cult cinema alike.
Metropolis is celebrated as one of the most intricately animated films ever made, its hand-drawn backgrounds crafted by art director Shuichi Kusamori, also known for Ghost in the Shell. The gatefold features a new high-resolution scan of one of Kusamori's iconic backgrounds, provided courtesy of Riekeles Gallery.
