Waxwork Records presents the Dawn of the Dead Original Theatrical Soundtrack on vinyl for the first time in a definitive 3xLP set. This release captures the complete De Wolfe library cues from George A. Romero's 1978 cut of the zombie classic, including "Cause I'm A Man" by The Pretty Things and the fan-favorite "The Gonk" by Herbert Chappell.
Dawn of the Dead (internationally released as Zombi) is the second film in Romero's Living Dead Trilogy, co-written with Italian horror master Dario Argento. Widely regarded as one of the greatest horror films ever made, it earned four stars from Roger Ebert, a spot on Empire Magazine's 500 Greatest Movies of All Time, and a place on The New York Times' Best 1000 Movies Ever Made list.
This deluxe edition features triple colored vinyl, heavyweight triple gatefold packaging with matte satin coating, artwork by Ruiz Burgos, a four-page booklet, and liner notes by Living Dead film music archivist Jim Cirronella.
