Kraftwerk's Radio-Activity turns 50 with a limited edition 12-inch picture disc pressing that's as meticulously crafted as the album itself. Ralf Hütter and engineer Fritz Hilpert returned to the original 16-track master tapes at Kling Klang Studio to create a new Dolby Atmos mix, paired here with the 2009 stereo remaster. The package includes a spined sleeve with die-cut front cover, shrinkwrap, and marketing sticker, exactly as it left the press.
Picture discs are inherently visual objects, and an encapsulated copy preserves both the artwork and the artifact together — the way it was always meant to be seen.
