What does NFC-Secured mean?

NFC stands for Near-Field Communication. It is the same technology behind contactless payment. Every modern smartphone reads it without a separate app or special hardware.

For Alliance Authentic, NFC-Secured means each preserved record contains an embedded chip carrying a unique, secure identity. It cannot be duplicated, transferred, or separated from the encapsulation. Tap it and the record's full identity surfaces in your phone's browser: what it is, where it came from, its condition at preservation, and every owner since.

How does NFC-Secured verification work for a preserved record?

Each scan generates a unique, secure response tied to that specific chip. The record either verifies or it does not.

What does NFC-Secured verification confirm?

Four things, each distinct.

Identity. The record is genuine and correctly identified. Not a similar pressing, not a different copy from the same run. This exact record.

Condition. The record's Certified Uncirculated status at encapsulation is confirmed and on record, established through Alliance Entertainment's distribution network before retail.

Provenance. The full ownership history from preservation forward. Every transfer through the Alliance Authentic marketplace is documented. The new collector inherits a verified record, not a story.

Continuity. When ownership changes, the new collector's stewardship joins the record's history. The chain holds across every transfer.

Why does verification matter to collectors?

Because without it, a record's history depends entirely on who is selling it.
