Released in 2008, Prehistoricisms by Intronaut is a defining moment in progressive metal, built from interlocking jazz rhythms, sludge weight, and atmospheric depth that few bands have managed to combine so fluently. Formed by Sacha Dunable, Joe Lester, Dave Timnick, and Danny Walker, Intronaut move across aggression and introspection within a single track, exploring ancient themes and human existence through technical precision and expansive soundscapes. Prehistoricisms remains essential listening in modern metal and a record that rewards every return visit.
