Army of the Dead Original Motion Picture Score is a double LP from Waxwork Records, in partnership with Milan Records and Netflix, featuring the fully electronic score by Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL). Directed by Zack Snyder (Dawn of the Dead, Justice League), the 2021 zombie heist film stars Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Tig Notaro, and Hiroyuki Sanada. Set during a Las Vegas zombie apocalypse, it serves as a spiritual follow-up to Snyder's 2004 Dawn of the Dead, with smarter, faster, and organized undead.
This deluxe pressing features interactive packaging designed by Oliver Barrett. Collectors must tear open the screaming face of Zeus, the film's zombie leader, to reveal a locked vault door. The triple gatefold then unfolds in neon pink and yellow to unleash a horde of Las Vegas zombies and ultimately reveal Valentine, the film's beloved zombie tiger. The score is pressed on 180-gram neon pink and yellow vinyl and includes exclusive liner notes by Zack Snyder.
For collectors, encapsulation locks in the full unboxing experience exactly as intended at pressing: the tear-open packaging, the vault reveal, and the gatefold unfold remain intact and undisturbed, preserved as the artist designed them.
