Joe Hisaishi's score for Hayao Miyazaki's Spirited Away stands among the most celebrated in animation history, and this Japanese Import image album captures the film's emotional heart across 10 tracks. Created directly from Miyazaki's poetic production notes, the compositions feature vocals by U-MI, Sizzle Ohtaka, Tsunehiko Kamijo, Monsieur Kamayatsu, and RIKKI.
The story follows Chihiro, a young girl whose family stumbles into an abandoned spirit village, only for her parents to be transformed and Chihiro left alone in a fantastical world ruled by the sorceress Yubaba. Forced to work in a bathhouse for spirits and demons, she must find her way back to them and to the human world.
