The fourth studio album from Metallica, ...And Justice for All was originally released on August 25, 1988, and stands as one of the defining records of thrash metal. It was the band's first with bassist Jason Newsted following the death of Cliff Burton in 1986, and the first to hint at the arena-filling ambitions that would define the decade ahead. Recorded at One on One Studios in Los Angeles, the album is built on long, labyrinthine compositions, breakneck tempos, and almost no traditional song structures. Lyrically, it takes aim at censorship, war, and nuclear politics. The lead single "One" earned Metallica its first Grammy Award in 1990, winning Best Metal Performance in the category's inaugural year. This double LP pressing is 180gm and digitally remastered.
