Kenji Kawai's complete original soundtrack to Mamoru Oshii's 1993 political thriller anime Patlabor 2: The Movie, pressed on 180-gram vinyl in a gatefold sleeve with liner notes by Masaaki Hara. Released on WRWTFWW Records.
Kawai is the composer behind the legendary soundscapes of Ghost in the Shell, Ring, Avalon, and Ip Man. Patlabor 2: The Movie (Original Soundtrack) ranks among his most experimental works: a minimalist modern classical palette of ambient atmospherics and percussion that captures the film's central theme of urban isolation while leaving room for quiet hope.
