The original soundtrack to Mr. Ajikko, the beloved cooking anime that aired on TV Tokyo from October 1987 to September 1989, adapted from Daisuke Terasawa's manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine beginning in 1986. This is the only soundtrack album released for the series.
The album features opening theme "Renaissance Jounetsu" and ending theme "Kokoro no Photograph," both composed and performed by singer-songwriter Wataru Kuniyasu, also known for writing Akina Nakamori's "Gypsy Queen." Lyrics by Ikki Matsumoto, arrangements by Tatsumi Yano. Original LP catalog number K28G-7379; original CD catalog number K32X-7125, released June 21, 1988. Note: tracklist differs from the 2004 CD reissue, which added eight tracks not present here.
For collectors, an encapsulated copy of a single-pressing, never-reissued anime soundtrack means securing exactly what aired alongside the show, sealed as it left the source and protected from the kind of handling that makes originals nearly impossible to find in any meaningful state.
