A limited-edition Japanese vinyl reissue of John Williams' original 1983 soundtrack to Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, pressed on light green color vinyl. This release faithfully reproduces the original Japanese jacket design and obi strip, with audio remastered by Shawn Murphy and Skywalker Sound from the 192kHz/24bit 2018 master.
Notably, this pressing includes three tracks ("Lapti Nek," "Parade of the Ewoks," and "Ewok Celebration and Finale") that were removed from the film in the 1997 Special Edition, making this a definitive document of Return of the Jedi as it was heard in theaters in 1983. Also featured: the Emperor's theme and "Luke and Leia." The original Japanese release sold out instantly upon its 2021 reissue.
An encapsulated copy locks this release in its original, unplayed state, preserving the obi strip, jacket, and color vinyl exactly as intended, sealed against the handling and humidity exposure that inevitably alter even carefully stored records over time.
